All good things come to an end, as cofounder and CEO, David Lieb, of the popular iPhone and Android sharing app Bump, and Flock announced yesterday on their blog. The sharing apps will be discontinued as of January 31st, 2014.
According to their announcement:
We are now deeply focused on our new projects within Google, and we’ve decided to discontinue Bump and Flock. On January 31, 2014, Bump and Flock will be removed from the App Store and Google Play. After this date, neither app will work, and all user data will be deleted.
You can export any data you have by opening either app in the next 31 days and just follow the instructions to export your data. You’ll then receive an email with a link containing all of your data (photos, videos, contacts, etc) from Bump or Flock.
Google acquire the popular sharing app back in September, with reports that Bump and the popular photo sharing app will continue to operate “for now”.
